Dominic Frisby (“mercurially witty” – the Spectator) is probably the world’s only financial writer and comedian. He is MoneyWeek’s main commentator on gold, commodities, forex and bitcoin. He has a popular newsletter on Substack, the Flying Frisby

He is the author of three books. Daylight Robbery – How Tax Shaped Our Past and Will Change Our Future (Penguin 2019), which won widespread praise (see below). His Bitcoin: the Future of Money? (Unbound 2014) was the first book on bitcoin from a recognised publisher and was described by Sir Ricard Branson as “A great account. Read it and glimpse into the future”. His first book Life After The State (Unbound 2013) also won widespread praise.

Dominic co-wrote and narrated the internet sensation documentary Four Horsemen, about the global financial crisis.

He presented the 2015 Dave crowdfunding show Money Pit with Jason Manford.

His show 2016 Let’s Talk About Tax was a huge hit at the Edinburgh Festival, leading Penguin Random House to commission a book from him on the subject.

His 2018 Edinburgh Festival show, Dominic Frisby’s Financial Gameshow, won rave reviews.

He has hosted two financial comedy shows for BBC Radio 4. In 2017 More Money Than Sense with Andy Zatzman, Shazia Mirza and Paul Sinha. And in 2021 Damned Lies with Gary Delaney, Paul Foot, Janey Godley and Lucy Porter.

Dominic was educated at St Paul’s School, Manchester University and the Webber-Douglas Academy Of Dramatic Art.
