I wrote this for my Edinburgh 2000 show and I reckon it’s one of the best things I’ve ever written. Not the funniest, but, in terms of symmetry and pain, I thought it was very strong. Unfortunately, the way technology has gone, it’s dated a bit and the joke’s been done. But this was, to my knowledge, the first – and the best. This recording is when I re-did it in Edinburgh 2001 in front of an audience of about ten. Look out for the voice of Hal Cruttenden.
