Interesting & thought provoking. In option C.1 there is a third option other than learning to fish or go hungry, and that is to steal fish from others – too many people in SA are taking that option.

How about we get “our” governments to hand out all the stuff they have been “fishing” with, so we can hold shares in some “fishing” enterprise near to us, and dear to our hearts. instead of each holding an unconsolidateable, irredeemable “stake” in a vast flotilla of leaky boats manned by unenthusiastic crew.
Aren’t stakes for vampireslayers?
Is it not true that wealth is improved by shareholders?
Is it rational to vote to supervise billions of decisions which will not affect me, rather than to vote to supervise the thousands which will?
Is it rational to compel me to either hold my “stake” for life, or else forfeit it? Why must I share the costs and benefits of pulling fish out, when I care about, and am knowledgeable about repairing boats?

You’re too good for Hollywood. If you want to get anywhere you will obviously have to dumb things down, er, a lot, and trim yourself into a successful rut. But seriously (!) this is very amusing. I almost choked on my own laughter. Trouble is it is so true it’s almost off the scale of belief. Thanks for pointing out the almost too obvious to notice. And isn’t it about time us English got our own back and make an upper class twit history of the wild west – or get a job lot of Nottingham street actors on the case. Or we could role out the same heavy weight versatile duffers: Blessed, Connery, and the one who said Bollocks. Good line that one. Bit one-dimensional, but worthy of being used some more.
